Bobby Lashley Showers Surprising WWE Star With Praise
You'll never guess who is impressing Bobby Lashley the most at WWE tapings.
Bobby Lashley has told TV Insider that Drew Gulak is impressing him behind the scenes these days.
The reigning WWE Champion admires Gulak's ability to "brainstorm different things", and says he never misses an opportunity to catch up with Drew or pick his brains backstage. That's a huge compliment to the often-overlooked technician - if only WWE's creative team was as high on Gulak as Lashley is.
Bobby went on to describe Drew as both a "student and a teacher". Gulak must also be pleased that he popped into the main eventer's mind before anyone else, although Lashley did also have praise for a few others too.
After singling out Gulak, Bobby gave credit to the "amazing" Ricochet, "on fire" Riddle, "exciting" Keith Lee and others. He didn't quite go into the same amount of detail on those guys as he did for Drew though.
Gulak has been a real hidden gem of a performer in WWE circles for years now. His run on 205 Live was bags of fun, but he's never been able to parlay that into sustained success on Raw or SmackDown. These days, Drew can either be found goofing off in the 24/7 Title hunt or working matches on Main Event.
