Shawn Michaels has been pulling Booker T aside to give him some "constructive criticism" on his early performances as Vic Joseph's partner behind the NXT commentary desk.

WWE Hall Of Famer Book revealed, via his podcast, that HBK has been very hands-on about announcing without going overboard when they're actually out there with the headsets on. Having someone constantly chatter in your ear can be rather distracting on comms, so Booker is grateful that Shawn waits until afterwards to give feedback.

Michaels also gives Booker a ton of encouragement though - he's thankful for that too, because the ex-World Champion knows he hasn't done regular announcing for a while and is "getting [his] feet wet" again. Further, Book is keenly aware that he made a few mistakes during NXT's Halloween Havoc special last weekend.

For example, he called Shotzi by her old full name "Shotzi Blackheart". That might not seem like a big deal, but it irritated Booker that he didn't get with the program or up to speed on what WWE wanted from him.

"The only way I can be conscious of it is to do my due diligence, study and make sure to try not to make those same mistakes".
