Injured former AEW Women's Champion Thunder Rosa is joining All Elite Wrestling's Spanish-language broadcast team, effective immediately.

She confirmed the news via her own Twitter, in a message that read;

"Exciting news, #AEW fans! While my recovery continues, I'll join @AEW as a Spanish commentator & on-screen personality. I'm thrilled to be able to serve Spanish-speaking fans in this unique way. Health is a journey with ups and downs. Meanwhile, I'll see you from the booth!"

The news follows a report from Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer last week that noted she'd assumed the role for the Dynamite, Rampage and Dark: Elevation tapings in El Paso, but there'd been no indication before her announcement that this was part of a regular new agreement.

Rosa is currently recovering from a back injury that forced her to surrender the AEW Women's Championship last August. Initially, the company booked Toni Storm as an Interim Champion in her place, but the longer layoff resulted in both sides agreeing that forfeiture was the best way to proceed. Her last match was the August 10th Elevation taping where she teamed with Toni Storm and Hikaru Shida against Emi Sakura, Marina Shafir and Nyla Rose.
