Having recently returned to our screens on AEW programming - and new reality show, Rhodes to the Top - Brandi Rhodes has revealed she's planning to return to the ring.

Speaking during an appearance on That Hashtag Show (as per Fightful), the AEW Chief Brand Officer explained how she is looking to return to the ring for her and Cody's daughter, Liberty Iris Runnels.

"I think it's very important to show another female what a working woman looks like. I came into a household of a mom that worked. I've only always known my mom to work, and I appreciated all of her hard work and what she did, and I appreciate it that she kept her life. So for me, that's wrestling. I'm very passionate about it. I'm very passionate about making it back to the ring. Everything that I do, every drill that I do, every push-up that I do, every extra 30 seconds that I have to run, I think about my daughter, because I'm doing this for her. I'm doing this to show her that it may seem very difficult, but it's doable and you're a product of your mother. You can do anything that you set your mind to. So it's much more meaningful to me now. Before, it was kind of a more selfish thing of this is what I want."

Brandi made her return to AEW television at last week's AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam spectacle, where she accompanied her husband Cody to the ring in his battle against Malakai Black.

While Cody would come up short in that bout, Brandi got herself involved by sitting in the ring opposite Malakai and giving him two middle fingers. Brandi would also appear on this week's most recent episode of Dynamite, as she was with Cody while he got berated by his coach, Arn Anderson.

As and when Brandi Rhodes next wrestles for AEW remains to be seen, but it's clear that Brandi fully intends to step back between the ropes sooner rather than later.

Brandi's last match came back on the 22 October 2020 episode of AEW Dark, where she teamed with Red Velvet to defeat Leyla Hirsch and Elayna Black (these days known as NXT's Cora Jade).
