We'd heard rumors lately that Brandi Rhodes may be joining TNA soon along with her husband Cody. Now TMZ has reported that she has officially signed with the company, and will reportedly be stepping into the ring to wrestle.

The original plan was for her to be in a program with Maria, but it wasn't quite clear if they would actually be wrestling. Now that we know Brandi is going to compete, it's also highly likely that we'll see their husbands Mike Bennett and Cody involved in the angle.

It's cool to see the company pick up some more recognizable names as of late, but Brandi stepping into the ring is a pretty big question mark. Despite spending over four years in WWE, she only competed in one match ever, which was a battle royal in Florida Championship Wrestling in 2011. When she returned to the company after some time off, she worked exclusively as an announcer until leaving in 2016.

Brandi was a competitive figure skater for 17 years, so she's obviously athletic, but it will be interesting to see if that translates over to wrestling ability in any way.

No word yet on when Brandi and Cody will be debuting with their new company, but you can imagine it may be at Bound for Glory, or shortly after.
