Braun Strowman flipped an ambulance with Roman Reigns inside on WWE Raw a few weeks ago, and the theme continued at Payback. Having defeated Reigns and dealt a devastating post-match assault, Braun tried to finish his foe off as he staggered around backstage.

Reigns dodged, however, and Strowman charged right into an ambulance door, breaking it off the vehicle. Both wrestlers were written off Raw as a result of their injuries, and according to Sportskeeda, the feud will be concluded in an ambulance match at Extreme Rules (June 4th).

Kurt Angle announced on Raw that Strowman had suffered a torn rotator cuff, and Reigns re-injured his ribs and suffered other internal injuries at Payback. It's thought that this is just for storyline purposes, however, and should only keep the duo off television for a few weeks.

WWE have staged four ambulance matches in the past, with the most recent being Dean Ambrose vs. Bray Wyatt in January 2015. The stipulation dictates that a wrestler loses the match when they're strapped into the ambulance long enough for it to drive away, which will help WWE protect Reigns and Strowman, who are both among the company's most strongly-pushed wrestlers.
