Following the tragic news of Wyatt's death at 36, Sapp tweeted that Rotunda had caught COVID-19 earlier this year, exacerbating a heart issue. Although he was moving towards a WWE return, a heart attack took him from the world on Thursday.

Wyatt's passing became public knowledge when Triple H posted the news on X, having spoken to Windham's father, former WWE star Mike Rotunda.

Bray had been absent from WWE since February this year, with a planned WrestleMania programme opposite Bobby Lashley scrapped. It later emerged that Rotunda had been suffering from an undisclosed illness. More recently, Fightful reported that said illness was "life-threatening" and had hospitalised the 36-year-old at one stage, with WWE taking extra precautions to protect Windham's long-term health when considering potentially bringing him back.

It was noted at the time that Rotunda was moving "closer" to being cleared for a comeback. Yesterday, he suffered a heart attack and passed away.

Rotunda is survived by his partner, Joseann 'JoJo' Offerman, three daughters, and a son. WhatCulture once again wishes to extend its deepest thoughts and condolences to his family, friends, and anyone else touched by his life at this difficult time.
