Jason Baker of Callosum Studios has confirmed as much to Metro's Alistair McGeorge, saying that filming will start within the next two weeks while offering some details on what fans can expect from the project:-

"Two weeks to go, we’re filming in Tennesse. It’s a feature film and it’s something really new and different. I’d say probably the best way to describe it is Ichi the Killer meets Xanadu."

Rotunda has been a free agent since his surprising WWE release on 31 July. He has legally been able to appear and sign for other wrestling promotions since his 90-day non-compete clause expired on 29 October, though it looks like his efforts will be focused more on the silver screen for now.

Fightful reported on 28 October that Windham had been making Hollywood inquiries as of late, with Baker uploading a photograph of himself and the former Fiend at Warner Brothers Studio in Los Angeles that same day. The duo had previously collaborated with Tom Savini on designing Wyatt's old Fiend mask in WWE.

Baker continued, detailing how this new project came together:-

"We had some meetings out there and things happened and things got moving forward, and now we’re going and shooting this feature film with him and the end of the month."

He also stated that for now, the Bray Wyatt and Fiend characters won't be making an appearance:-

"We’re not using any of that – we’re going in a completely different direction, a whole new thing. It should be fun. Hopefully fans of horror and fans of Windham like it!"

We'll bring you more on the as-of-yet-untitled film is details emerge.
