WrestleCon confirmed the former Bray Wyatt's participation via Twitter on Monday evening:-

The event takes place at the Fairmont hotel in Dallas, Texas between 30 March and 5 April 2022. Tickets are yet to go on sale.

Rotunda has technically been free to do as he pleases in professional wrestling since late October, when his 90-day non-compete clause following his 31 July WWE release expired. The former 'Fiend' is yet to return to the sport, whoever, though AEW and IMPACT Wrestling have both been linked with him.

9 November saw Callosum Studios' Jason Baker confirm that Rotunda's first post-WWE project would be a movie. Speaking with Metro's Alistair McGeorge, Windham's frequent collaborator said the following of it:-

"Two weeks to go, we’re filming in Tennesse. It’s a feature film and it’s something really new and different. I’d say probably the best way to describe it is Ichi the Killer meets Xanadu. We had some meetings out there and things happened and things got moving forward, and now we’re going and shooting this feature film with him and the end of the month."

Rotunda hasn't wrestled since WrestleMania 37's second night (11 April), where he was defeated by Randy Orton.
