Bryan and Bella, like many wrestling couples before them, became a real-life item after being paired together on television. In 2010, Bryan - then a fresh-faced newcomer to WWE - won the United States Championship, and shortly after both Brie and twin sister Nikki began competing for his affection. After months of the twins vying for Bryan, it was finally revealed that he was in a relationship with Gail Kim. In reality, Bryan and Bella bonded over a shared passion for environmentalism and soon started dating.

The relationship between Bryan and Bella has been well-documented on E!'s reality show Total Divas. In 2013, the couple were engaged when Bryan proposed to Bella during a hike in the woods, and on 11th April, 2014, they were married.

Bryan's career had ups and downs over the next two years due to injury, and on 8th February, 2016, he announced his retirement from active competition. Rumors soon began to swirl that Bella was similarly pondering a step away from the squared circle in order to keep Bryan company and start a family with her husband.

On 6th April, she competed in her last match thus far, then took a hiatus from the ring. Good luck to the both of them with their new addition.
