Britt Baker Injured On AEW Dynamite
The doctor suffered an injury during her Fyter Fest Night 2 victory over Nyla Rose.
AEW Women's Champion Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. suffered an injury during her first title defence against Nyla Rose on Wednesday night.
Baker was able to overcome Rose on Dynamite's Fyter Fest Night 2, cinching in her Lockjaw submission to see off the dominant challenger. However, that victory appears to have come at a cost as the champ reportedly suffered an injury to her right wrist after taking a Death Valley Driver from Rose, according to F4Wonline.com.
The good news is that it doesn't look as though Baker is set to take any serious time away from the company, with the star revealing as such, along with the fact her wrist is actually broken, on Twitter when attending Friday's Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship event in Tampa. Baker could be seen posing with former UFC star Paige VanZant and boasting a cast on her right arm.
With @paigevanzant …And oh yeah, I retained the title on Wednesday night at #aewdynamite with a broken wrist. Not taking any time off either. #AndStill pic.twitter.com/YQVC37Woie

We may not see the reigning AEW Women's Champion throwing down in the squared-circle whilst she recovers from this unanticipated injury. But if her leg injury in 2020 taught us anything, expect to see her routinely steal the show on the mic as we await her return to full fitness.
