Brock Lesnar's WWE return at The Forum in Los Angeles this Saturday is selling poorly. "That show has a surprisingly weak advance," F4Wonline are reporting. In a sign of their desperation to sell the remaining tickets, WWE took the unusual step of advertising the house show on national television. In a rarity, the event was pushed on Smackdown. In another sign of desperation, 411mania reports that WWE have sent out paper ads that offer free food and drink vouchers if you buy a ticket. It isn't good when you have to use burgers and coke as a draw. The highlight of the December 19 card is Brock Lesnar challenging Alberto Del Rio for the US Championship, a match that has never happened before. It could be a very good bout if given time, but it is just as likely that it ends quickly. The expected scenario would be Del Rio forcing a DQ, then The Beast destroying the champion. WWE decided to use Lesnar on this show as Los Angeles is such an important market. They never imagined that ticket sales would be slow. As for the reason why fans aren't interested, perhaps it is down to the proximity of Christmas, or maybe WWE and Lesnar just aren't as hot as they were perceived to be in that market.
