Brock Lesnar's WWE WrestleMania Matches Ranked From Worst To Best
9. Vs. Goldberg (WrestleMania XX)
What should have been a sub-5 minute squash match turned into not just the worst WrestleMania match for Brock Lesnar, but one of the worst WrestleMania matches of all time.
Goldberg and Lesnar were both leaving WWE following WrestleMania XX, and the fans knew it. As such, they greeted this contest with loud jeers and chants such as "you sold out," which only intensified as the match went on. Miffed by the crowd's disinterest, the two completely mailed it in, delivering a plodding, near-14 minute bout rife with lock-ups, rest holds, clotheslines, and signature move spam.
The only thing that the fans enjoyed about any of this was watching special guest referee Stone Cold Steve Austin stun the two renegades out of the WWE after the match had ended. It says a lot when a crowd's favorite part of a match is what happens after it's over, especially when that crowd is at Wrestle-f***ing-Mania.
Worse yet, this legendarily-awful bout is made even more awful today, now that we know for certain what these two were capable of creating together. But we'll get to that later...
