Bryan Danielson To Work For PWG?
Could the American Dragon be returning to a PWG ring?
Speaking on the most recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer has speculated that Bryan Danielson could well work some dates for A.N. Other promotion that many believe is Pro Wrestling Guerrilla.
After discussing how Jon Moxley's in-ring return has now been confirmed to take place at The Wrld on GCW on 23 January - Mox defending the GCW World Title against Homicide - Meltzer moved the conversation onto Danielson potentially working elsewhere.
As Dave put it:
"Bryan Danielson, without going into detail, but some people will figure it out. There's an independent promotion, which I believe he wants to work for, in a market that AEW has not run yet. And AEW is not against him working for that promotion, but when they run that market, they want Bryan Danielson's first match in that market to be in AEW."
While Meltzer doesn't state any specifics, many are presuming that he is referring to the California market and to PWG. Of course, some are also suggesting this could be DEFY Wrestling out of Seattle, Washington, although appearances for either DEFY or PWG from the American Dragon would clearly get the wrestling world abuzz.
In terms of PWG, Danielson first competed for the promotion way back in 2003, going onto become a mainstay for the company until 2010. During that time, he became a two-time PGW World Champion.
As for DEFY Wrestling, Bryan has never wrestled for the company, with DEFY formed in 2017 whilst Danielson was contracted to WWE. Given how DEFY emanates from Danielson's home state of Washington, you can easily see why there'd be such an appeal - especially considering the great reputation DEFY has amassed for itself across the past several yars.
