Former UFC Heavyweight Champion and current AAA newcomer Cain Velasquez admitted that talks have taken place over the possibility of him moving to World Wrestling Entertainment or All Elite Wrestling in the near future.

Velasquez debuted for AAA at August's TripleMania XXVII as part of a short-term deal with the company, but spent a week at the WWE Performance Center in 2018 as part of his ongoing interest in transitioning to professional wrestling full time.

Speaking to Ariel Helwani, he said "I’d like to wrestle for other places as well. We’ve been in talks with WWE. I’ve talked to Cody and AEW a little bit. I want to talk to them a little more. I think AEW is doing some good things."

Velasquez worked in a mask and debuted to largely positive reviews alongside Cody Rhodes with Psycho Clown against Texano Jr, Taurus and Killer Cross, at the AAA supershow and is booked again to work the company's upcoming Madison Square Garden event "Invading NY" this coming weekend. The company will run the Hulu Theater portion of the 'World's Most Famous Arena', but Cain could well be moving to the bigger stage should he make this move in the near future.
