Cesaro Dismisses Talk Of WWE NXT Return
'The Swiss Superman' wants to prove he can succeed on WWE's main roster.
Sorry, NXT fans, but it doesn't look like Cesaro will be returning to the black and gold brand anytime soon.
Though barely a month passes without 'The Swiss Superman' being linked with a big move to Full Sail University, the man himself seemed to dismiss these rumours during a recent appearance on Corey Graves' After the Bell podcast.
Speaking on the matter (h/t Lords of Pain for the transcription), Cesaro said: "I want to succeed on RAW and SmackDown, you know what I mean? Would I succeed in NXT? Yes. I just want to be successful. I want to do what I do best, and I think bell-to-bell I'm pretty good at everything and pretty good all-round."
He added that he "knows people hate the way I talk, or whatever, but English wasn't my first language when I came to the US, so I had to rely on my wrestling a little bit more."
Finally, regarding opportunity, Cesaro noted that the only thing he can control is how he performs with what's given to him, adding that "that's what keeps me going."
'The Swiss Superman' joined SmackDown in last month's WWE Draft. This week's show teased an alliance with Shinsuke Nakamura, Sami Zayn, and Daniel Bryan, so it'll be interesting to see if this is developed further on Friday.
