Rhea Ripley had originally been booked to put the belt on the line against Asuka one-on-one. This changed when Flair scored another favourable decision from authority figure Sonya Deville on last night's Raw, following on from the Pridefighter's decision to go against Adam Pearce's wishes and remove Charlotte's indefinite suspension last week.

Deville's decision once again drew the ire of Pearce, who confronted her backstage. Something's brewing there.

Flair defeated Dana Brooke one-on-one last night. Ripley and Asuka hit the ring to express their discontent following Deville's decision, with Asuka standing tall when the segment got violent.

Originally pegged to challenge Asuka at WrestleMania 37, Flair was taken off television after confirming her positive COVID-19 test in March. Ripley took her place as the Raw Women's Title challenger and defeated Asuka for the belt.
