Chelsea Green Suffers Serious Injury During WWE SmackDown Debut
"Just another twist in my WWE story tonight!"
Chelsea Green was injured during her WWE SmackDown debut on Friday night.
The former NXT star revealed via her official Instagram page that she'd suffered "another broken arm" after bumping to the outside amidst her four-way match with Liv Morgan, Natalya and Tamina. It's believed the break happened when Morgan dropkicked Green off the ring apron early on.
Fightful Select claim that Chelsea was scheduled to win the match and earn a spot on Team SmackDown at Survivor Series later this month before WWE were forced to pivot and change their plans; Liv ended up bagging the victory instead.
If you watched SmackDown and thought that women's bout seemed a little bit disjointed, this is why - everyone had to work on the fly after Green's nasty spill.
Chelsea posted several photos from the hospital on social media and said that this is nothing she hasn't dealt with before. She also promised to be back before fans know it, but there's no doubting that this is another depressing setback for her.
