On Wednesday's AEW Dynamite, the former Le Champion Chris Jericho engaged in a brawl with boxing legend Mike Tyson with reports suggesting that the pair are going to become embroiled in a feud going forward.

Rumours have been circulating around Iron Mike for some time now after he confirmed that he was back training regularly, and had gotten in great shape for the first time since his retirement from in-ring competition in 2005.

Of course, AEW isn't Tyson's first pro wrestling rodeo. The former boxing World Heavyweight Champion served as the special outside enforcer in the match between Shawn Michaels and Steve Austin at Wrestlemania 14, and appeared sporadically in WWE in the following years.

One of those appearances saw Tyson serve as the Raw Guest Host, and take part in a tag-team match with Jericho against Michaels and Triple H, before turning on Y2J and hitting him with a knockout punch.

In an interview with ESPN, Jericho was asked whether his current feud with Tyson was a continuation of the beef started on that episode of Raw in 2010. Jericho didn't appear to agree with the line of questioning and responded:

It's a WWE angle? It's a Chris Jericho angle. I was there. I don't just wash away my entire 19-year history with the WWE. That's ludicrous. Anybody criticizing that this was a WWE angle and we brought it over here — this is my life. It's my story. Tyson knocked out Chris Jericho. He didn't knock out Chris Jericho and The Rock and Hulk Hogan and Triple H and Kurt Angle. He knocked me out. That's my story. It's like if I write a song and it's a huge hit and I released it on Sony records and then I signed with Warner Bros and rerecorded the song. It's my song.
