Chris Jericho's Son Starts Wrestling
'Le Petit Champion' may soon become a reality.
AEW World Champion Chris Jericho announced on Instagram that his son Ash had just made the cut for his high school wrestling team.
This, surprisingly, is something that 'Le Champion' was never able to do and he has put the world on notice for the rise of the 'Son of Jericho'.
In the post, a clearly proud Jericho wrote 'what an awesome feeling seeing @ash_irvine924 on the mat and beginning his high school wrestling career yesterday!! He is doing something I was never able to do and we are very proud of him!! He’s just getting started, but look out wrestling world… #SonOfJericho is coming for you!'
Dropping his menacing heel character isn't anything new for Jericho as he has quite openly hosted podcasts with his on-screen adversaries, posted babyface pictures of himself enjoying time with his family and even played music with his supposed enemies over the years.
This all simply makes his ability to flick on the switch of 'Painmaker' at will that more impressive.
Could Jericho be looking to nudge his son down the pro wrestling path and possibly even get him on AEW television in the near future? Much like Rey Mysterio has been able to do with his son Dominick on WWE programming?
Only time will tell.
