Dark Side Of The Ring Season 3 To Feature Chris Kanyon Episode!

With production well underway on a third season of VICE TV’s stunning Dark Side of the Ring documentary series, now comes an update on another of the topics to be covered in said third season.

As per PWInsider, the late Chris Kanyon will be the focus of one of these new episodes.

Having worked under the Kanyon name and famously as the Mortal Kombat-influenced Mortis during his WCW run, the Innovator of Offense was one of those picked up by WWE after the company’s purchase of WCW in 2001.

Officially released by WWE in early 2004, the former WCW United States Champion tragically took his own life on 2 April 2010 at the age of just 40.

At the time of his passing, the real-life Chris Klucsaritis was working on a book tentatively titled Wrestling Reality. In that book, Chris’ intention was to detail his struggles with depression and being gay.

Away from Chris Kanyon, other confirmed episodes of Dark Side of the Ring’s third season will put the spotlight on Brian Pillman, Nick Gage, the FMW promotion, WCW and NJPW’s Collision in Korea event, Bruiser Bedlam, and the Smith family that’s made up of Jake Roberts, Sam Houston, Rockin’ Robin and Grizzly Smith.

As of this writing, the plan for Season Three of Dark Side of the Ring is for it consist of 14 episodes.
