Here's what CJ Perry has to say about Miro's continued absence from AEW television.

CJ Perry has claimed like Tony Khan, just like WWE's power players, has his favourites and is going to push them in All Elite Wrestling.

The former Lana said as much during a recent appearance on Busted Open Radio. Perry was asked how her husband Miro was enjoying his time in AEW, to which she responded (h/t Figure Four Online/Wrestling Observer):-

"I mean, he wants to be champion so he's not going to be happy until he's champion. I'm just going to leave it at that."

Miro hasn't had AEW gold around his waist since September 2021, when he dropped the TNT Championship to Sammy Guevara. His use on television has been sporadic ever since. Initially taking time off to heal injuries and work on a television show, he returned this June, continuing his dominant form with wins over Ethan Page and Johnny Elite. He has competed only twice since then, with his last bout coming at All Out 2022 on 4 September.

Perry was asked about how Miro is used in AEW. She noted that Khan, the company's founder and CEO, books everything, with the idea that the wrestlers put the shows together an "illusion":-

"I have a lot of opinions about this. Tony Khan has a vision. At the end of the day, if it's 100% real, I think there's this illusion at AEW that the talent book the show. That was definitely the conversation, 'Oh you go there, you're going to basically become whatever you're made of' but at the end of the day, he's booking the show."

CJ then drew a line between AEW and WWE. Like Vince McMahon did and Paul 'Triple H' Levesque currently does, Khan pushes his favourites. It's not personal, though. Just business:-

"It's really no different than WWE, it's just a different director and a different person's point of view. It's like comparing NBC to HBO but at the end of the day, you still have the exec who is going to make that final call and that's what it is. Tony Khan has his favorites and he's going to push the favorites just like Vince [McMahon] would push his favorites, just like Hunter is going to push his people. It's show business, it's nothing personal, it just is what it is."

Perry has been out of wrestling since June 2021, when WWE released her. She had originally been booked to appear on the ill-fated Authors Of Pain-helmed Wrestling Entertainment Series show this summer, where she was to face Lina 'Nia Jax' Fanene, until the event collapsed under organisational farce.

As for Miro? We await his return to AEW television.
