Clearly, Someone In WWE Or The NBA Hates Fun... (WWE News)

Danhausen has been removed from some NBA tie in goodness. Why? Who knows?!

Mike Johnson of PWInsider is reporting via X that Danhausen was pulled from appearing at a victory parade in New York City after the Knicks won the NBA Championship by beating the San Antonio Spurs 4-1 in the finals.

According to Johnson, the quirky WWE star was in New York filming some stuff for ESPN, so this must've been a conscious decision to take him elsewhere. In a fun moment, Mike added that "whoever made that decision should, indeed, be cursed".

Cue the music.

Seriously though, it is a bit baffling that WWE or the NBA chose not to feature Danhausen in some form or fashion. His story throughout the NBA playoffs has been can't miss, and it acted as a brilliant sideshow to the actual on court action itself. WWE bagged some easy mainstream press out of it too, which really goes to show just how special a comedy talent Danhausen is.

A talenthausen, if you like.

Danhausen has managed to bounce back spectacularly since a wobbly debut back at Elimination Chamber. There, his introduction didn't exactly go well. In fact, it was so poor that he was unfavourably compared to Survivor Series 1990 dud The Gobbledy Gooker. Since then, Dan has gone on to shift an impressive amount of merchandise, and has starred in various laugh out loud skits on WWE TV.

He's currently embroiled in a story with The Miz and Kit Wilson on SmackDown, and appears to be building his very own version of Frankenstein's monster. The rumour mill remains abuzz over exactly who could play that role.
