Don't call it a comeback. No, seriously: don't.

CM Punk's name has been linked to Bullet Club's upcoming All In event from the moment it was announced, but the rumour mill finally peaked last night.

Why? Because the former WWE Champion was reportedly backstage at last week's All In press conference, according to Jenn Sterger of the Collider Bodyslam podcast.

Sterger, who was at the event, had the following to say:-

"If you got your tickets at face value for this event, I’m just saying it literally might be the best in the world. I will only say someone wearing sweatpants and training for something walked into the back of the building that the press conference was in — with marks, mind you, lining the entire sidewalks in the front of the building — and I just kept thinking ‘if they knew you were back here, they would literally tear down the front of the store."

She added that nobody involved in the event was willing to confirm or deny if Punk would appear at All In, and that he was apparently at the building to collect shirts from Pro Wrestling Tees.

If Punk's ever to mount a wrestling return, All In would be a logical jumping-off point. The September 1st event takes place in his native Chicago, and if Punk and WWE can't mend fences, the sold-out 10,000-seater show is the biggest platform currently available to him.

News of his presence at the press conference broke on a busy news day for Punk, with Pro Wrestling Sheet revealing that he was close to reaching a settlement in his trial with WWE doctor Chris Amann.
