WWE star CM Punk was in the house as a special guest commentator for MMA event CFFC 156 on Friday night, and the ex-World Heavyweight Champion had an interesting teaser for fans. He joked with co-host John Morgan that he might not be able to make upcoming CFFC cage fighting events because he'll be busy on Fridays.

This comes in the wake of rumours that Triple H will send Punk from Raw > SmackDown as soon as he returns to television. Of course, WWE management don't really adhere to their own "strict" brand rules, and there's every chance that CM will appear on Raw first in some sort of bizarre farewell to the red brand.

The 6 July episode of Raw will take place in Chicago, so don't be too shocked if Punk is around for that before landing on SmackDown going forwards. Once he gets to the blue brand, Punk is predicted to launch into a program opposite current WWE Champion and poster boy Cody Rhodes.

Rhodes will defend his WWE Title vs. Gunther and Sami Zayn in a Triple Threat match at Night Of Champions over in Saudi Arabia on Saturday night. So, it'll be fun to find out whether or not Punk vs. Cody will be for the belt - it'd be a huge shocker if not.

A match between these onscreen buddies would work out well for SummerSlam, but WWE booking still has to thrash out who wins King Of The Ring (Oba Femi or Jey Uso) and whether that man challenges Rhodes or Raw's Roman Reigns.

Whichever way you slice it, it does look like Punk is SmackDown bound soon.
