On last night's RAW, Daniel Bryan won the "Beat the Clock" challenge making him the Number 1 contender to face WWE Champion CM Punk at May's WWE Over The Limit pay-per-view. Bryan won the challenge when he defeated Jerry "The King" Lawler in the quickest time, beating Randy Orton (who defeated Jack Swagger) who was runner-up ahead of Chris Jericho (who beat The Big Show by countout), The Miz (who defeated Santino Marella) and Kane & The Great Khali (that went to a no-contest when the time expired). This will be the first WWE pay-per-view contest between the Bryan and Punk after a series of excellent main events earlier this year on RAW and SmackDown when Daniel Bryan was World Heavyweight Champion and the WWE booked several Champion vs Champion matches. Punk vs Bryan should be an incredible main event, especially considering how over Bryan is with the crowd right now and whether he takes away any of Punk's solid audience fanbase. It could even be a 60/40 or a 50/50 reaction from the crowd which should make an already exciting pay-per-view encounter even more mouth-watering. WWE Over The Limit pay-per-view that takes place on May 20th, 2012 from the PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina. The only other match scheduled for WWE Over The Limit is John Cena vs John Laurinaitis, a match that was announced on last night's RAW.
