It was implied prior to AEW Dynamite's launch that the show would be shown live on the massive ITV network in Great Britain. This wasn't the case, however, with AEW drawing mass criticism following news that the show would be aired on a delay, meaning a £4.99/month FITE.tv subscription was the only way for British viewers to tune in live.

Cody stated that AEW is still looking to improve the situation, adding that he and Tony Khan have "a real vested interest in the UK." It is "definitely not impossible" that Dynamite will end up airing live, though he notes that TNT pays "a great premium" to have their product on in the United States, "so you want to respect both sides of the coin."

ITV is a free-to-air network and one of the largest in the United Kingdom, available in tens of millions of homes. Switching to live broadcasts would likely prove immensely beneficial for AEW.
