Cody Rhodes Acknowledges Roderick Strong As Loose End From 2016 List
Roddy challenges Cody via Twitter, ironically could complete Rhodes' list in WWE.
When Cody Rhodes was granted his release from WWE in 2016, he famously tweeted a list of wrestlers, events and accomplishments he hoped to tackle after his non-compete clause ended.
Rhodes spent the better part of five-plus years checking off nearly every item on that list, except one name. And Saturday night, that wrestler sent a pretty direct message to him. And it didn't take long for Cody to respond.
I’m game - only wrestler on the fabled list I didn’t get around to fighting ?

Roderick Strong was the last name on Cody's initial list, and as Rhodes noted, the only wrestler he never got to face. Ironically enough, Roddy signed with NXT just a couple months after Rhodes left WWE, meaning their paths never really had the chance to cross.
But now, with Cody back in the WWE fold and Strong still wrestling in NXT and NXT UK, there's a very real chance that those two could lock up.
Interestingly enough, several names on Cody's list ended up working for WWE after he got to check them off: Adam Cole, Trevor Lee (now Cameron Grimes), Chris Hero, Mike Bennett (Kanelis), Pat Buck and Kurt Angle. Only Grimes and Strong are still under the WWE umbrella, both in NXT.
