Just one day after New Japan Pro Wrestling announced the competitors in the 2016 G1 Climax, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla has started naming the men who will take part in their own annual tournament, the Battle of Los Angeles (BOLA). The first man announced for the tourney that will be held between September 2 and 4? Cody Rhodes.

Yes, Cody Rhodes will be taking part in the 2016 Battle of Los Angeles. This means that the son of the American Dream will get to tick off yet another item on his fabled 'list'. A number of PWG regulars are also on the list, including Adam Cole, Dalton Castle, Roderick Strong and more.

Cody wasn't the only name announced for the tournament, as it has been confirmed by PWG on Twitter that Kamataichi, Jeff Cobb (The Monster Matanza Cueto from Lucha Underground) and Mark Haskins will also be involved.

BOLA is a genuine highlight on the pro wrestling calendar, and every year the line-up is stacked to say the least. Past winners of the tournament include current PWG World Champion Zack Sabre Jr., El Generico, Kenny Omega, Low Ki and Adam Cole.

Will Cody Rhodes join them in 2016?
