It's been nearly two years since Cody Rhodes first adopted the persona of Stardust - a bizarre, bodysuit-wearing takeoff on his older brother's ultra-successful "Goldust" persona - and the gimmick may be drawing to a end.

According to the former WWE Tag Team Champion himself at WrestleMania Axxess, if he doesn't win the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania, Stardust will be gone and Cody may have to return.

Since his debut on WWE TV nearly a decade ago, Cody Rhodes has gone through a plethora of different personas. First debuting as a grateful second-generation star, Rhodes soon turned his back on his family to join Randy Orton's Legacy stable. When the group disbanded, the "Dashing" star started offering personal grooming tips, but an injury suffered at the hands of Rey Mysterio forced him to wear a facial mask a la The Phantom of the Opera.

The mask ran its course, and Rhodes soon grew a mustache and formed a tag team with Damien Sandow. The two were unable to claim gold, and when Sandow backstabbed Rhodes to win the 2013 Money in the Bank match, Cody turned face for the first time in years. He would soon start tagging with his brother, adopt the Stardust persona, and eventually turn heel again and disband the team.
