Cody: The Bullet Club Could Show Up In WWE In January

"Pretty possible," says American Nightmare.

The Bullet Club are pretty much the hottest commodity in wrestling today, so you can be perfectly assured that WWE have their greedy, beady eyes all over them. To date, the idea of New Japan's gang of gaijin migrating to Vince's promotion has seemed completely out of the question - particularly given the simmering enmity between the two groups over certain surnames and hand gestures.

But it could be closer to reality than we think. Speaking with Wrestling Inc. shortly after NJPW Fighting Spirit Unleashed at the weekend, the Bullet Club's leader Cody revealed that a WWE invasion in the new year is not entirely off the cards.

"Well, my own promotion is still ROH. I know the big what-to-do is, oh, January 1 we are going to show up on WWE... pretty possible," mused Cody, whose contract is set to expire on New Year's Day.

In recent months, Cody has been playing a very savvy political game, refusing to criticise the way he was booked at the tail-end of his WWE career, making sure those bridges aren't entirely burned should he seek a return. Given the runaway success of his ALL IN show, one imagines WWE would be knocking down his door to bring him back and nip that in the bud.

If Bullet Club are to sensationally turn up in Stamford, we can only hope WWE's usually spitemachine doesn't go into overdrive. Wrestling fans, as ever, should be careful what they wish for.
