Last night was the end of an era in WWE, with Elimination Chamber 2021 the last pay-per-view to stream solely on WWE Network ahead of the new Peacock deal kicking in.

WWE confirmed during last night's show that Fastlane 2021 will be the company's first pay-per-view to air on Peacock and the Network. While this story broke with details of the Peacock/NBCU deal last month, yesterday was the first time WWE had announced it as part of their programming.

Fastlane 2021 goes down on 21 March. WWE Network was initially supposed to go live on the platform on 18 March.

WWE and NBCU confirmed in January that a deal had been struck to bring WWE's streaming platform to Peacock, with NBCU paying WWE a reported $1 billion over five years. This is applicable to United States subscribers only. Those in the US will have their existing Network subscriptions transferred over to Peacock, which offers a new $4.99 tier with ads or the regular $9.99/month without.

Internationally, WWE continues to shop its content, perhaps with a view to striking a similar deal as that with NBCU in the United States.
