Current NJPW Star Doesn't Have "The Urge To Wrestle Anymore"
The former IWGP United States Champion will leave New Japan at the end of the month.
Juice Robinson has conceded that he no longer has "the urge to wrestle anymore" ahead of becoming a free agent within the next few weeks.
Speaking with Bryan Alvarez and Mike Sempervive on Wrestling Observer Live, Robinson revealed that his contract with New Japan Pro Wrestling expires at the end of this month. When that happens, he isn't interested in going back to Japan, with this weekend's NJPW Strong booking in the United States the last on his schedule.
When asked if he had a list of wrestlers he still wants to face (Bryan Danielson was used as an example), Robinson responded in the negative. "No, I don't really have anybody that I want to wrestle," he said. "I just don't have the urge to wrestle anymore."
Robinson, 33, has been with NJPW since leaving WWE in 2015, where he had worked as CJ Parker. Entering New Japan's Young Lion system, the ensuing years saw him rise to prominence as a foreign star, getting over to the extent that he was pushed as IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion twice, though his NJPW bookings started falling off at the COVID-10 pandemic's onset.
Juice's last match was an eight-man tag at NJPW's Strong Lone Star Shootout event over WrestleMania 38 weekend.
