Current WWE Female "Wanted To Be Randy Savage"

'Macho Man'? Nah, how about 'Macho Woman' running roughshod in WWE circa 2023?

Candice LeRae has revealed that she "wanted to be Randy Savage" growing up.

This raises an interesting point: WWE didn't exactly showcase women's wrestling when the 37-year old LeRae was growing up in the late-1980s and early-90s. A few workers, like Alundra Blayze, did work bouts, but they were hardly a focal point on weekly television.

So, Candice found herself idolising characters like 'Macho Man', and told Keith Whittier on YouTube that she "fell in love" with everything about Randy's persona. Of course, she also adored Miss. Elizabeth too, but Liz didn't really work matches in-ring. LeRae watched in "awe" as Savage wrestled some of the best matches of the era.

"That's everything I want to be someday", she told herself as a bright-eyed kid.

LeRae hasn't really had the chance to prove herself on WWE's main roster since returning to the company last September. She's considered a solid hand, but might not get the chance to work pay-per-view stunners vs. the top female champs.

Still, it's cool to know she's always "wanted to be Randy Savage". Someone get on the phone to Triple H about a 'Macho Woman' character!
