Current WWE Star Didn't Believe She "Deserved" Raw Spot
This likeable WWE wrestler was totally overwhelmed by the company's backing.
Aliyah didn't think she "deserved" to main event Raw this past Monday night.
The WWE star, who captured the previously-vacant Women's Tag-Team Titles alongside Raquel Rodriguez, told company cameras that she had her doubts before the flagship show aired. Of course, Aliyah then used this to sell the in-character story of faith in powerhouse partner Raquel.
It did seem like she was breaking character though - even just for a second. After all, Aliyah went from doing next-to-nothing on SmackDown to headlining WWE's top TV show. In fact, one of her latest SmackDown appearances was a nothing three-minute match vs. fellow straggler Shotzi in late-July.
Then, WWE stuck Aliyah in the Women's Tag Title hunt and she's now one half of the new champs. It's funny how things turn around quickly in this biz, eh?
Aliyah was totally overwhelmed by the thought of main-eventing Monday Night Raw. That's maybe unsurprising, because she'd never been in a such a lofty spot before. Despite the thrown-together nature of the team, and the fact that most fans agree Dakota Kai and IYO SKY should've won the belts, Aliyah smashed her opportunity.
