Lionel Messi, you... are... cursed.

Having famously helped the New York Knicks to win their first NBA Championship in 53 years, it appears that WWE's Danhausen also had a hand in orchestrating Spain's World Cup win last night.

For those non-football fans out there, Spain defeated ten-man Argentina 1-0 in the World Cup final, thanks to Ferran Torres' extra-time strike. That means a second World Cup win for Spain, and also likely spells the end of the legendary Lionel Messi on football's grandest stage, with the 39-year-old icon unable to really get going against Luis de la Fuente's slick, smooth Spanish team.

In a video doing the rounds on social media from Fanatics Fest over the weekend, Danhausen was asked who he was cursing for the World Cup final. And wouldn't you know it, the all-powerful Very Nice, Very Evil star said he'd be cursing Argentina.

So, not even the great Lionel Messi - with his eight Ballon d'Ors, one World Cup, two Copa Americas, one Olympic gold medal, four Champions Leagues, three UEFA Super Cups, ten La Ligas, seven Copa del Reys, two Ligue 1s, and one MLS Cup, amongst other various plaudits - is a match for Danhausen, it seems.

Of course, Danhausen was also busy at Saturday Night's Main Event this past weekend, getting an assist from the New York Knicks' Karl-Anthony Towns to pick up a win over JD McDonagh.

Love that Danhausen.
