Demon Balor To Return At WWE SummerSlam 2017
Finn will again don his warpaint this Sunday - but what will the theme be this time?
This week's Monday Night Raw saw several small changes or additions to the SummerSlam card, one being the return of Finn Balor's 'Demon' persona. The Irishman has donned his warpaint on several big occasions, most notably at several NXT TakeOver specials and last year's SummerSlam, where he became the first ever WWE Universal Champion.
The revelation occurred after the former NXT Champion was doused in fake blood, following a defeat to Bray Wyatt. In a later backstage interview, he stated that Bray Wyatt may have his demons, but Balor himself has some too - a strong hint at the return of his 'Demon' alter ego.
This was confirmed in more straightforward terms by the announce team shortly afterwards. Balor will again face Bray Wyatt on Sunday.
Other changes to the SummerSlam card will see Neville face Akira Tozawa in a rematch for the latter's newly-won Cruiserweight Championship. The pair were set to square off anyway, but Tozawa's win means that the champion/challenger dynamic is reversed.
Elsewhere, Kurt Angle announced a Raw Tag Team Championship bout between Cesaro and Sheamus, and new challengers Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins.
