If Dave Meltzer's effusive praise of Kenny Omega and Hangman Page vs. The Young Bucks on today's episode of Wrestling Observer Radio is anything to go by, the renowned, divisive journalist is about to throw all the stars in the night's sky at the AEW Revolution throwdown.

"17 years ago today was the final Misawa/Kobashi match. It was an all-time classic, and even that match wasn't as good as the Tag Team Title match tonight," he said shortly after the show, adding that he considers it the "best match of the year" so far, and, get this, "the best tag team match I have ever seen."

Meltzer then brought a couple of classics into the conversation - The Fantastics vs. Midnight Express and Eddie Guerrero/Love Machine vs. El Hijo del Santo/Octagon - and stated he believed last night's bout was better than both.

Strong, strong praise indeed. Dave's comments are sure to get a conversation going, regardless of whether he's right or wrong. Personally, your writer believes that this debate isn't worth having unless TLC II, DIY vs. The Revival (Toronto), and Can-Am Express vs. Kenta Kobashi/Tsuyoshi Kikuchi are involved.

What do you reckon? Is Page and Omega vs. the Bucks one of the best tag matches ever? Let us know down in the comments section.
