Eric Bischoff recalls being terrified...
Ex-WCW boss Eric Bischoff told a particularly chilling story about good friend Hulk Hogan on a recent episode of his '83 Weeks' podcast.
According to Bisch, he watched in horror as things got heated between Hogan, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash behind the curtain at Nitro shortly before the flagship program was set to go live. During the fracas, Eric looked down and could clearly see a knife poking out of Hulk's bum bag/fanny pack.
'Easy E' was anything but after spotting that.
A lot of things went through his mind in a short space of time, and Bischoff worried that Hogan was about to pull the blade out and do something he'd regret. He was even more concerned by the aggressiveness of the confrontation - Eric told co-host Conrad Thompson that this wasn't your usual "in a bar trying to impress everybody with how tough you are" grandstand. This was "real".
Bischoff still isn't sure why Hogan had a knife on his person at all. He's also unsure if that was an isolated incident or if his pal regularly carried one around with him.
