Did WWE Just Reveal A 2022 Royal Rumble Elimination?
WWE might've just spoiled one of the plot points from 2022's Royal Rumble.
WWE might've just leaked an upcoming elimination in the women's 2022 Royal Rumble match ahead of time.
The company released a 'behind the scenes' style video with recent comeback queen Lita on YouTube. In it, the legend discussed her history with SmackDown's Shotzi on Tough Enough - Shotzi appeared on the cast for the reality show in 2015, and forged a connection with Lita after being eliminated due to health concerns.
During the vid, Shotzi (in character) said that she'd happily throw the veteran over the top rope in St. Louis on 29 January. This is all part of Blackheart's recent heel turn. Meanwhile, Lita is being cast as a returning hero who's desperate for "one more run" on top of the women's division before retiring for good.
Look out for one of two things happening: Shotzi will either get her moment and oust Lita, or the returning fave will reference her past with Blackheart and punt the relative newbie from the match en route to winning.
WWE have been making a habit of giving away loads from the Rumble matches themselves. Numerous entrants have already been announced for both bouts, and now they're teasing actual eliminations.
