Did WWE Just Tease A Massive Reunion?

Fans were real happy with this moment on WWE SmackDown, but...did it tease more to come?

Paul Heyman hugged CM Punk tightly on this past Friday's episode of SmackDown, and the 'Wise Man' begged his old friend to save him from a Solo Sikoa-imposed prison. The question: Was this a one-off designed to sell Heyman's hell in the current Bloodline setup, or was it a tease for something more?

The live crowd in Chicago were very happy to see Heyman and Punk hug it out.

Hall Of Fame inductee and manager extraordinaire Paul E will likely be by Roman Reigns' side when the real 'Tribal Chief' returns to put Solo in his place, but that might not be a long-term thing. Beyond Reigns, who is set to turn babyface and begin the next chapter in his career, Heyman will need something else.

A longer-term reunion with Punk isn't impossible. The two have been linked ever since Heyman spotted something in CM during the OVW days, and they've worked well together in the past. In fact, Paul and Punk even worked fairly well as rivals on-screen too. They've got bucketloads of chemistry.

If Heyman is to go full-on babyface, then becoming Punk's 'Special Council' wouldn't be the worst idea. Of course, it'd have to be handled delicately, but people shouldn't rule it out. Triple H would've been listening on SmackDown, and the booming response to that hug could get wheels turning inside his head.

'Heyman and Punk: The Second Act' incoming?
