Disgraced Referee Drake Wuertz Accuses WWE Of Violating His Human Rights
Drake Wuertz breaks his silence on his WWE release five weeks after being let go.
Vocal COVID-19 sceptic and former WWE referee Drake Wuertz has broken his silence on being let go from the promotion with an outlandish tirade on his Instagram page.
In the update, Wuertz claims that WWE were violating his "basic human rights" by forcing him to adhere to pandemic-related safety measures, which he described as an "experimental medical procedure." Later, Wuertz accused WWE of "bowing to the communist mob agenda" by asking its employees to wear a protective mask if unable to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
Wuertz also posted text messages from WWE head of talent relations John Laurinaitis to his Instagram story. In them, Johnny Ace outlines a policy similar to that adopted by countless other major companies throughout the pandemic.
WWE released Wuertz, who subscribes to the long-discredited QAnon conspiracy theory, in May. It was later reported that a number of Performance Center personnel felt uncomfortable around the former referee, who was alleged to have been involved in a number of incidents specifically with people of colour at the PC, including former trainee EJ 'Ezra Judge' Nduka.
Prior to his dismissal, Drake had been passed over for multiple WWE promotions and was prevented from coming to the Capitol Wrestling Center for a period earlier this year.
