Dolph Ziggler Signs New Deal To Stay With WWE

Will he finally get the push he deserves?

Dolph Ziggler is staying where he is after signing a new deal with WWE. PWInsider reports that the contract was signed several weeks ago and that it's a multi-year deal that will keep the 11-year veteran with the only wrestling company he's ever worked for. Ziggler's impending free agent status was a big topic of discussion last week when it was mentioned by former WWE writer Court Bauer that his deal is up in a few months. Since WWE was likely aware of all the rumours surrounding Ziggler's future, it is smart of them to share the news so that fans can stop worrying about if he's going to leave.
In his current storyline, Ziggler is dating Lana, who recently left Rusev. Since Rusev hurt his foot about a month ago and he can't wrestle, the story hasn't progressed as quickly as WWE likely would have liked. Most weeks, Ziggler either wins a match as a way to infuriate Rusev or loses because of a Rusev distraction. They will probably settle things in a big match in the next month or two when Rusev is ready to wrestle again.
