Dominik Mysterio Agrees To Join The Judgment Day On WWE Raw, BUT...
Another WWE Raw, another tease of Dominik Mysterio turning on father Rey...
The seemingly never-ending saga of Dominik Mysterio's teased turn on father Rey continued on last night's WWE Raw, as Dominik agreed to join the group if it meant Finn Balor and Damian Priest relenting in their beatdown of his dad.
The Judgment Day, who have been screwing heavily with the Mysterios in recent weeks, claimed on Monday that they decided against attacking Dom last week as they felt he would "make the right choice" and join their group. Part of this involved Priest attempting to manipulate the family dynamic by saying Rey was stifling his son's progress.
Rey then wrestled Priest in the next segment. With Dominik and Balor fighting at ringside, Damian scored the victory in around five minutes, hitting his version of the Razor's Edge for the fall.
The Judgment Day attacked Rey after the bell. Placing the veteran's skull on a chair and threatening a ConChairTo, they said they would take the elder Mysterio's head off if Dominik didn't join. "I'll join, just stop", said Dominik in response, though this didn't go as planned.
"Hey, Dominik, it doesn't work that way," responded Priest, battering him with the chair instead.
WWE has been teasing a rift in the Mysterio family for over a year at this stage. Rey's 20th anniversary as a WWE wrestler is being advertised for next week's Raw in Madison Square Garden, meaning the promotion could seek to leverage the celebratory atmosphere for a turn. Last night, the story was that Dominik didn't necessarily want to join the stable and was acting solely to protect his father.
