Dragon Lee Signs With WWE
Dragon Lee wants to become the next Rey Mysterio in WWE.
Dragon Lee is WWE-bound.
Hot on the heels of helping end AEW unit FTR's AAA World Tag Team Championship reign alongside his brother Dralistico at last night's Noche de Campeones show, the masked sensation let it be known that he was indeed heading to WWE, with ESPN confirming the news in a report.

The AAA tag straps were immediately vacated in the wake of Hermanos Lee picking up a huge win over the long-time title holders, with it being reported by The Cubs Fan that Lee had let AAA know about his WWE future "well in advance" of last night's event.
Lee is now set to join up with NXT in January. And current head of WWE creative Triple H was quick to salute the "unbelievable athlete" who was "just getting started" on Twitter after the news was made official.
An unbelievable athlete who has collected accolades and held championships across the globe… and he’s just getting started.

The masked high-flyer and former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion would tell ESPN that a conversation with Finn Balor was enough to get the ball rolling again on a potential move to WWE, with Lee revealing that he'd spoken with the Sports Entertainment giant about a move in the past.
As the brother of AEW's RUSH would explain:
"[Balor] told me, 'Would you like to be in WWE?' I said, 'Yeah, sure. Why not?' ... It was something special for me."
Clearly feeling he has the potential to be a major player in his new company, Lee would also note how he thinks he "can become the new Rey Mysterio in WWE", stating "I just need the opportunity."
WWE head of talent strategy and operations James Kimbal commented on the star's decision to join the biggest wrestling organisation on the planet, too:
"Dragon Lee is a tremendous talent that will immediately add value to the NXT roster. This signing is reflective of WWE's renewed emphasis on globalizing our talent pipeline with Latin America positioned as a focal market."
At just 27-years-old, the future seems bright for the latest lucha star to opt for a run with WWE.
