Drew McIntyre To Drop WWE Championship Soon?
His loss could set up a bigger victory down the line.
According to Wrestling News, Drew McIntyre may lose his WWE Championship at SummerSlam 2020.
Over the last week or so, reports have been suggesting that the 'Scottish Psychopath' could be set to face off against Randy Orton at this year's 'Biggest Part of the Summer'. Orton has been on a roll as of late, becoming arguably the most hated man in the company after his battles with a returning Edge.
McIntyre has also stated that he'd be interested in a bout with Orton, who he claims is 'on fire right now'.
Now Wrestling News have revealed that an idea involving 'The Viper' beating McIntyre for the belt at SummerSlam has been pitched. Orton would then likely defend the title against Edge at the Royal Rumble or WrestleMania, with McIntyre eventually getting a chance to reclaim the belt in front of a capacity crowd further down the line.
The current WWE Champion has gone on a hell of a run since conquering Brock Lesnar at 'Mania 36, but his crowning moment was unfortunately played out in front of an empty Performance Center.
