EC3 To Leave ROH & Become Free Agent Again?
Former Impact Wrestling man EC3 could be on his way out of ROH already...
Per a new report from Fightful Select, EC3 could be set to depart Ring of Honor following their Final Battle pay-per-view on 18 December. He is currently set to collide with Jay Briscoe at next Friday's event.
Following his WWE release this past April, 'The Essential Character' had begun posting cryptic videos on his Twitter with the motto "control your narrative", which eventually culminated with his Impact Wrestling return at the tail end of Slammiversary on 18 July. While at first it looked as if the former World Champion was back with Impact full-time, he was instead only there for a rivalry vs. Moose, with 'Mr. Impact Wrestling' picking up the win in their cinematic clash at Bound For Glory.
Regarding his status with Impact, the company are reportedly still on good terms with EC3, and while there had been talks between the two sides, EC3 wasn't entirely keen on securing himself down to a full-time deal at this point in time.
The former WWE 24/7 Champion had debuted for ROH around the same time as his bout with Moose, immediately targeting The Briscoes. If he does indeed depart after Final Battle, a move elsewhere seems most likely for 'The Essential Character'.
