Edge Calls AEW Stars During WWE SmackDown Segment
Which AEW tag team did Edge call upon on this week's WWE SmackDown?
WWE Hall of Famer and multiple time World Champion Edge called in some back-up in the form of AEW's Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler during last night's Friday Night SmackDown on FOX.
The latest edition of the blue show saw The Rated 'R' Superstar watch on as his bitter rival Seth Rollins invaded his home, putting his feet up on his dinner table and generally being a slimeball. This all led to the moment Edge rushed to phone his wife Beth Phoenix, ordering her to stay away from their home and head to her sister's. During this call, the 2021 Royal Rumble winner also noted how his pals "Daniel and David" were heading to their place to deal with the Rollins issue.
For those not in the know, the legit first names of former AEW World Tag Team Champions Dax and Cash are actually David and Daniel, respectively.
It's no secret that Edge is rather close with the former WWE twosome, with the WWE legend admitting that they were a huge help when it came to getting the star back in shape for his eventual return.
The two now-AEW men were quick to respond on Twitter to the incident. Harwood noted how he was going to "go over there right now & beat his little bitchass." While Wheeler retweeted the words with a GIF of the pair's AEW debut entrance.
