Edge Wanted THIS Fired Wrestler For The Judgment Day
Who came close to joining Edge, Rhea Ripley, and Damian Priest in WWE's The Judgment Day stable?
Harland was earmarked by Edge as a potential addition to the veteran's new Raw stable, The Judgment Day, prior to being released by WWE last month.
Ringside News broke the story in a report that has since been corroborated by Dave Meltzer on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio. The pitch was being acted on until 29 April, when Harland (real name Parker Boudreaux) was let go by the promotion alongside nine other NXT names.
On today's WOR, Meltzer stated that the process of Boudreaux potentially entering Judgment Day was "kept very secretive" until ultimately, WWE decided not to go ahead with it.
Signed by WWE in February 2021, Boudreaux was once identified as the next Brock Lesnar by the former WWE and Universal Champion's old 'Advocate', Paul Heyman, and had been working as Joe Gacy's strong, silent enforcer prior to his release. A lack of tangible progress between the ropes was cited among the reasons for the 29 April roster cuts, though there is no word on whether this applied to Boudreaux or not.
The Judgment Day currently comprises Edge, Damian Priest, and Rhea Ripley, who joined at this month's WrestleMania Backlash 2022 event.
