Is The Tooth Fairy really better than the 11 films that have preceded it on this list? With a heavy heart I can't honestly say that it is, but, but but but but but, in the context of The Rock 'Dwayne Johnson' Rock, it's a seminal moment of his career. In 2010 he was still just a novelty, muscle-bound go-to for films that needed a bit of a selling point beyond their own premise. "Look!" studios would exclaim, "it's the man from the wrestling in a tutu! Bring the kids!".

Less than a year later though he'd starred in Fast Five and was a main-event cinematic draw, by the time The Tooth Fairy 2 dropped in 2012 he was one of Hollywood's best paid actors and had been replaced in this particular franchise by... Larry The Cable Guy.
